The creation of Annie's Super! Mac wasn't just about crafting another mac and cheese. It was about reimagining a beloved classic to meet the demands of today's health-conscious consumers.

Thus, our R&D journey began with the goal to amplify the nutritional profile of our family-favorite Annie’s Mac without compromising on taste.

A Balance of Flavor and Nutrition

Our research and development team set out to identify a protein source that delivered on Annie’s natural and organic brand values and offered the same quality, texture and taste as our traditional Mac.

Yellow peas met that criteria. When combined with wheat, this high-protein legume provided the closest match to our original Annie’s organic pasta recipe, but with 15g of protein and 6g of fiber per serving, making every bite of Annie’s Super! Mac satisfying and nourishing.
